Make a reservation!

At this time, all amenities and group exercise classes will require reservations. Learn how to make your reservation and sign up for your favorite YMCA activity today! Each session lasts 45 minutes so staff can clean and sanitize before the next session begins and give members an opportunity to enter and leave the building.

How to Make a Reservation
  1. Scroll down to find the Reservation Self Scheduler.
  2. Enter your first and last name as they appear on your YMCA Membership Account.
  3. Enter your Date of Birth.
  4. Enter your Email Address and Phone Number. Note: This is the email address that will receive your reservation confirmation.
  5. Click Find Me.
  6. Click on the arrow next to the field “Any date”.
  7. Select the date of your choice.
  8. Click on the arrow next to the field “Appointment type”.
  9. Select your Appointment Type. (i.e. Lap Swim, Gym Cardio Room, Strength Room, etc).
    1. Gym Cardio includes elliptical machines, 2 rowers, recumbent bikes
    2. Wellness Cardio includes recumbent bikes, rower, stair climber, 1 spin bike and treadmills
    3. Strength includes Nautilus room and free weights
  10. Scroll down to view available times (you DO NOT need to click “Any staff member”.
  11. Click the arrow next to the field “Available Times”.
  12. Select the time of your choice.
  13. Click BOOK.
  14. Check your email for your confirmation. You will receive an email to confirm your reservation. Please be prepared to show the reservation to a Y employee in case you are asked. You can print the email or show it on your phone.
How to Cancel a Reservation
  1. Scroll down to find the Reservation Self Scheduler.
  2. Enter your first and last name as they appear on your YMCA Membership Account.
  3. Enter your Date of Birth.
  4. Enter your Email Address and Phone Number. Note: This is the email address that will receive your reservation confirmation.
  5. Click Find Me.
  6. Select the “My Appointments” tab
  7. Scroll to locate the appointment you would like to cancel.
  8. Select the red “Cancel” button to cancel your appointment.
  9. Your appointment will indicate “Cancelled” when complete.
Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a reservation to come to the YMCA?
Yes, at this time, in order to guarantee you a space in your favorite area, you will be required to have a reservation.

When can I reserve an amenity?
You will be able to reserve a class, lap lane, racquetball court, or space in a cardio or strength room 7 days in advance. Reservations are made on a FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED basis.

When I click FIND ME, nothing happens. What should I do?
Clear your browsing history and then try again. If that does not work, please call the YMCA, (860) 399-9622 x100 for assistance with creating a reservation.

Does the reservation system close at any particular time?
Reservations will close one hour prior to start time. After this time, members will no longer be able to make reservations.

What equipment is in each of the areas?

  • Gym Cardio includes elliptical machines, 2 rowers, recumbent bikes
  • Wellness Cardio includes recumbent bikes, rower, stair climber, 1 spin bike and treadmills
  • Strength includes Nautilus room and free weights

What is the duration of each reservation?
Reservations will be for 45 minutes. At the end of your time slot, the staff will clear the area to clean and sanitize before the next group arrives.

How will I know if my spot is reserved?
You will receive an e-mail confirming your reservation.

Is there a limit as to how many reservations I can make for a day?
We are limiting members to one reservation, per area per day.

Can I reserve spots for someone else (husband, friend, sibling, child, etc)?
Each login has the capability to make only ONE reservation for any amenity per day.

What if I am having trouble reserving a space?
Please call the YMCA, (860) 399-9622 x100 for assistance with creating a reservation

What if I need to cancel my reservation?
If you need to cancel, please do so as soon as possible to allow other members the opportunity to attend the class. To cancel a reservation, sign into our self-scheduler on the website, click on My Appointments and select Cancel next to the reservation you would like to cancel. You can only cancel online up to three hours prior to the start time.  If it is within the time limit, please call the Valley Shore YMCA, (860) 399-9622 x100 o cancel your spot.

Is there a penalty for making a reservation and not showing up?
We are hopeful that members will be respectful of the need to make reservations. However, should a staff member notice a member abusing the system, they may see the need to have a discussion with him or her. These incidences will be handled on a case-by-case basis.

If there are spaces available but I don’t have a reservation for one, can I still attend?
Yes! You are welcome to have access if there is availability. If all of the spaces are reserved and you don’t have a reservation, you will not be able to enter the YMCA.
