HOPE is POWER is a safe, fun program for adult cancer survivors of all ages and fitness levels. This 12 week small group exercise program is for adults affected by cancer. It is provided under the guidance of specially trained health and wellness staff and offered at no cost to the participants. The program is designed to help individuals rebuild their strength and endurance and regain function that is lost through cancer and its treatment, and gain emotional support to build self-esteem. HOPE is POWER helps survivors move beyond cancer and reclaim their lives.
Schedule
Tuesdays and Thursdays
5:30 pm to 7:00 pm
at the Valley Shore Y
Hope Is Power for Cancer Survivors
- Has helped more than 100 local cancer survivors regain their vitality and sense of life since 2010.
- Encourages life long wellness by providing this program and a free 12-Week YMCA membership for all participants.
- Provides small group personal training sessions led by specially trained staff to improve flexibility, regain strength, increase cardiovascular fitness, overcome fatigue and relieve stress.
- Engages the survivors in a supportive, caring, and fun group environment. Our participants make friends for a lifetime!
