Group Swim Lessons
For children ages 6 months and older
We are currently hiring and training Swim Instructors for the Fall and Winter Sessions. Once our team is in place, we will develop our session schedule and post it here. Stay Tuned!
In the meantime, if you or anyone you know is interested in becoming a Swim Instructor, please contact Tony Sharillo.
Our Group Swim Lessons at the Y focus on learning vital water safety skills and stroke development through a progressive swim lesson curriculum. We’re proud to offer a variety of swim lessons for people of all ages and abilities, both in group and private settings.
We offer the following levels:
Parent & Child Swim Lessons: Ages six months to three years old. With a parent in the pool, infants and toddlers learn to be comfortable in the water and develop swim readiness skills. Parents learn about water safety and drowning prevention.
Pre-K Swim Lessons: Ages three to five years old. Kids learn safe water habits, underwater exploration, how to swim safely and exit the water. Lessons are a mix of activities, games and drills.
Youth Swim Lessons: Ages five to 12 years old. Starting with water safety and and basic swimming competency, kids progress to learn about the four competitive swim strokes.
Private One on One Swim Lessons:
At this time we are not accepting any more Private Swim Lesson requests.
Guidelines for Swimmer Safety
- Participants should come READY to swim in their bathing suits; there is NO changing in our facility. Participants will have to leave in your suit.
- Masks need to be worn when not in pool for anyone that is not fully vaccinated.
