Spin-a-thon April 15, 2023

YMCA trainer showing older member how to use spin bike

The Valley Shore YMCA is proud to present our 9th Annual Spin-a-Thon to benefit our Annual Campaign which allows us to offer invaluable specialty health programs for cancer survivors, Parkinson’s disease, and adaptive programs for individuals with special needs. The event will include 20 teams of four who will ride for 4 hours to fundraise for this program and the Valley Shore YMCA.

At this time, we invite you to support our event on Saturday, April 15th, 2023 from 8-12pm at the Valley Shore YMCA by donating prizes or goods, sponsoring a bike, or contributing to the event.

We have helped more than 300 participants become reinvigorated physically and emotionally as they have reduced stress, increased stamina and strength, and built meaningful relationships with other survivors.

We look to the generosity and support of our community to make this event as special and successful as possible.

Thank you for your support!

Why We Spin

We spin to help those in our community live healthier and fuller lives.  All funds go towards the following Specialty Health Programs:

Hope Is Power

Hope is Power is a free, safe, fun program for adult cancer survivors of all ages and fitness levels. This 12 week program helps survivors improve overall health, connect with others, and overcome the deconditioning and fatigue from cancer and its treatment.

Delay the Disease

This ongoing program helps those living with Parkinson’s Disease gain increased self-confidence, decrease risk of falls, minimized fatigue, reduce rigidity, and improve vocalization and hand-writing.

Y Be Fit

This small group program helps adults with varying levels of physical and cognitive abilities learn the skills necessary to independently make healthy activity and nutritional choices.

Race 4 Chase

A FREE 6 week program aimed to provide youth aged 6 to 12 years of age with a fun, skill building and life changing experience by introducing them to the sport of triathlon.
