More Than a Club. A Family

#Trifamily serves multi sport and single sport athletes of all ages and abilities on the Shoreline. Our goal is to help our community of athletes embrace the multi-sport lifestyle in a fun, supportive and social environment and meet their individual goals. We’ve got another AMAZING program for all abilities planned.

2025 Season Tri Club Membership Features:

  • Indoor Coached Swims January through April and November through December.
  • Beginner Swim Sessions Saturdays January 11 – February 15.
  • Open Water Swims Monday Nights May through September.
  • Underwater Stroke Assessment, Open Water Swim training, Weekly Workouts.
  • Open spinning times in the spin studio:

    • Tuesdays 10-11:30AM & Thursdays 5:30-7PM

  • Weekly outdoor group rides in season, Safety Clinic, Bike Cleaning and Fix a Flat Clinics.
  • Beginners Running Clinic, weekly outdoor track workouts and runs in season.
  • Pre-race, in race and post-race nutrition strategy workshop.
  • #TriFamily T-Shirt.

Annual Tri Club Membership Rates:

  • Valley Shore YMCA Member: $165
  • Community Member: $250

Cedar Lake Triathlon Information

The Valley Shore YMCA is proud to partner with the Cedar Lake Triathlon Series. The race series is run by the Valley Shore YMCA Tri Club volunteers and all proceeds support the YMCA’s Race 4 Chase Youth Triathlon Training Program. Races run every other Thursdays beginning late May through early August. A perfect triathlon for first time racers and those looking to tune up before a big race. Indoor Triathlon Dates

To help Tri Club members prepare for the racing season the club offers three indoor triathlons with distances that increase with each race.

2.5 mile outdoor run

Our group is very active on Facebook! Group rides, runs and swims are posted weekly, Members are also free to post any of their training activities to see if a tri clubber would like to join! Check it out here.
