Are you able to turn your termination into a donation?

Thank you for supporting the Y and our mission to develop strong children and families of all economic backgrounds across the CT Shoreline and Lower River Valley. We are a nonprofit organization – your membership and program fees allow the Y to faithfully serve more than 10,000 families and individuals annually.

This is a very challenging and unsettling time for all of us. We at the Y are facing the added challenge of doing what we can by providing salary and benefits continuation to assure that our staff can afford to keep themselves and their families safe and be available to serve you when this health emergency ends.

Therefore, if it is at all possible for you, we ask that you please continue your Y membership and program enrollment. We, as a community, will get through this. And when we do, we want to be in the best shape to support you and your family.

In the meantime, we are working diligently and swiftly to prepare a collection of online resources to assist you in keeping you and your children learning and keep your family active during the temporary closure.

If your intent is to put your membership on hold until the YMCA re-opens due to the COVID-19 restrictions have cleared, there is no action necessary – we will AUTOMATICALLY pause your April draft until we open and pro-rate your membership accordingly.

Per our membership policy, a membership account may only be cancelled for the upcoming month if requested by the 20th of the month.  Any requests made after the 20th will be applied to the following month.

NOTE: Your membership has not been terminated until you receive a confirmation email. If you do not receive a confirmation email within one week of your request, please contact the YMCA at (860) 399-9622.
