TOGETHERHOOD PROGRAM
The Valley Shore YMCA is an outlet of community resources which help to engage community members with volunteerism and community building activities. Their mission is to serve all people through programs that build healthy spirit, mind, and body; the Valley Shore YMCA has become a community leader, engaging people of all ages and abilities with high impact programs and services. Togetherhood is a national YMCA effort to increase volunteerism locally by engaging YMCA members in volunteering to solve social issues, such as hunger, mentoring, quality of life, and more. A togetherness program can range from creating cards for children in the hospital to creating community gardens.
Providing Support for These Area Non-Profits
Bare Neccessities – Clinton, CT
Bare Necessities partners with social service agencies and food pantries along the shoreline. Through these partnerships we are able to supply diapers and wipes to those families that have been identified by the agencies as having a need. We are the only recognized diaper bank on the CT shoreline.
