AN AFTERNOON OF FUN!

Old Saybrook Professional Development Day Program

Valley Shore YMCA and Goodwin Elementary School have expanded our partnership by providing care during Old Saybrook Professional Development half days.  The Y makes the most of after school time by offering active learning opportunities that support your child’s physical, educational, emotional and social skills.  As a leader in youth development, the Valley Shore YMCA serves 200+ children ages 5-12 on a daily basis.  We are excited for the opportunity to serve you and your child!

A few important notes

  • The program runs from 12:30 – 3:10 pm. Children will be released from school at 3:10 according to your normal pick-up schedule when the program is held at Goodwin.
  • Please provide your child with a nut free lunch.
  • Children will be placed into age-appropriate groups for activities.
  • Each group will enjoy a full range of awesome hands-on projects, activities and games.
  • On Feb 1 and May 3, students will be bused to the Valley Shore YMCA for fun activities, including swim time. Please send your child with a bathing suit and towel. All children will be swim tested. On these YMCA days, parents must make arrangements to pick child up at the YMCA at 3:10, or register for the extended drop-in program.
