Youth Programs Minimize

Y Sports programs provide children with the opportunity to learn specific sports skills in a supportive atmosphere and are conducted with emphasis on the positive personal growth of the child. The Y strives to balance the development of physical skills with other important aspects of sports, such as leadership, teamwork and cooperation. Above all, kids who participate in Y youth sports have a lot of fun. Our philosophy is "Everybody plays, everybody wins."

Y Sports feature a "games approach" in which children learn by playing the game instead of just repeating drills. Playing games keeps participants excited, motivated and active, which reduces the likelihood of any behavior problems associated with boredom. Players learn faster and perform better when they use techniques in games. The more kids have fun, the longer they will participate in sport and thus maintain an active lifestyle.
